EP launch film, gigs, gigs, gigs, oh what a year and whats next?

Its been a monster year... tonight we play our final show and we hope to fizzle out with a loud poppy, rock n roll explosion.
Leonard Cohen dies Donald Trump becomes president. Its been a mixed up muddled up shook up world, but we continue, to oppose this terrible government, the lemon suckers, and the hateful whilst playing our music dancing and sharing the love....

Thanks to the good people around me who have helped see to the release of my EP in August.. We had a little party to celebrate and here's a short film we made of the show. The camera angle and lights help create a sweaty 1970s Top of the Pops effect which I love. Be the first to watch it here...

We've stayed busy right up until the end and visit the photo gallery to see shots from my as yet unnamed follow up EP which in an ideal world would be the B side to Far From Judd maybe one day it will.

Next year its going to be a big year for me as I take to the air!! and embark on some foreign travel getting on stage in Australia in Feb 2017 and the U.S of A in March to April 2017.. exciting .. watch this space for more info soon. Listen out for my live performance with full band on the Hello, Goodbye show on Resonance FM on the 14th Jan - I cant wait for that one!
So thats about it, GOODBYE 2016. See you soon.

Rum, honey, lemon, upcoming Madonnatron gig and pictures a go go!!

Its been a busy few months.. The release of Far From Judd has been going well. If you haven't already picked up your copy HERE!! We've had some lovely REVIEWS. Go to the images page for pics of our launch party. We've also added some pics from our performance at the Upstart Crow Fest last weekend. What a fun time we all had. The sore throat was healed with a mug of lemon, honey and RUM!
We're now looking forward to our gig with the mighty Madonnatron for the Loud Women on the 21st Oct @the hope and anchor. If you haven't smashed into the force that is Madonnatron I highly recommend you give yourself that pleasure. You can read an interview I did with them HERE!
Well that's about it for now. Keep hating fascism and supporting music!

Come on down to the EP launch folks!!!

To celebrate the release of my EP Far From Judd available here our friends at Folklore present a launch party on the 9th September at the Harrison, Kings Cross...
Along with me and my wonderful gang of a band. Come on down and enjoy the very muchly mucho talented Blind Atlas and Tommy Mack (from White Ape "Lean, wiry, brash and catchy: darkly witty surf-punkabilly twangfest from London: as heard on Steve Lamacq, BBC6music.")..... We plan to positively party.

The EP has been receiving some lovely attention already,
here and here!

Ooh look.. A beautiful picture of the beautiful artist Alexander Dalton. The man responsible for the artwork and design on Far From Judd. Here he is receiving a copy in a grand handing over onboard a late night London Tube. He'll be at the launch. You can ask him about his art and see that he is really much better looking in real life!! Terrible photo. Sorry x

It's Finally Happening.. New EP out 19th August...

Yippeee, after lots of work and blah blah blah I can announce my EP will be available to buy at all bad online stores from the 19th August 2016... Thank you to all the wonderful people who have helped me to do this.

The EP Far From Judd features the talented David Krupski on drums, Jak Chantler on guitar and Gareth Cobb on bass. With guest appearances from Toby Couling (The Noisettes, Newton Faulkner) and Hana Piranha (Birdseatsbaby) I play guitars, keyboards and vocals but am mostly proud of my old school drum machine wizardry on Don't Leave Me Alone. Recorded at The Fold Studios, Forest Hill, South London.  Mixed & engineered by Gareth Cobb. Mastered by Giles Barrett at Soup Studio. Produced by Me and Gareth Cobb. Artwork and design by the very talented Alexander Dalton.

We're planning a launch with our friends at Folk Lore to celebrate on the 9th September at the Harrison where there will be physical, hold it in your hand, CDs for sale plus some special guests performing. Come on down it'll be lovely to see you.

White Ape “Outstanding – a swaggering pottymouthed earworm. Genius lyrics and great vocal delivery...fine fucking work, men." - Tom Robinson, BBC6music “You know some people are just too smart. So smart their heads spin with ideas and they talk in flights of fancy. These people don’t fit into the mundane groove of reality and the lucky ones end up making music. White Ape is that sort of band.” - John Robb, Louder Than War www.facebook.com/whiteapeband www.whiteapeband.com

Avital Raz "There is no-one quite like Avital Raz in the world of music right now, and she should be applauded for the intelligence and singularity of her artistic vision. The Fallen Angel’s Unravelling Descent is a genuinely original musical statement, full of wise, exotic and gleefully mordant songs that manage to be simultaneously challenging and melodic." - Folk Radio UK http://www.avitalraz.com/ https://www.facebook.com/avitalrazmusic/

Dave Miatt / Jackie Paper Former member of NME-darlings Thomas Tantrum, South-Coast singer-songwriter Dave Miatt is at his most tangible in his solo work. Inspired by folklore, myth and magic, Miatt’s songs represent both his meaningful late-night ponderings and dark sense of humour. Currently, he can also be found fronting jangle-pop/ folk band Sleeping Tigers and as a hired gun for psych-pop collective Spectral Park. https://www.facebook.com/davemiattmusic/

Ed Hicks As a treat for the old Sotones crowd, we have reached into the back and tracked down one of the original shining lights of the scene, Ed.J.Hicks. For years he’s been painting walls in Hackney but with a mix of whiskey and personal compliments, we have coaxed him back onto the stage. Is this a comeback? We really don’t know. Expect a load of alt-blues and gruff soul. https://www.facebook.com/Ed-Hicks-54-253645434753176/ http://globalstreetart.com/ed-hicks

Band Of Skulls (DJ Set) A proper famous big ol' rock band dropping in to spin some discs. "hard to pigeonhole.
